Environmental Policy
Viking Transport and Logistics has as a target, the reduction of carbon emission by 2011, by 15 per cent based on 2007 emission levels. We are working with major equipment suppliers, encouraging the development of lower emissions and hybrid technology light commercial and heavy vehicles and trialling these in our fleets as they become available. Once such equipment is proven, we will proceed to replace existing equipment with low emissions vehicles at normal operational cycles.

- Working with Government and industry bodies to develop optimum mass limits for heavy vehicles, aiming at reducing the number of heavy vehicles over time

- Ensuring that our vehicles are maintained in accordance with manufacturers specifications; and
